SATAN ?

Many ancient religions have scriptures detailing the struggle between good and evil. For instance, in the Zoroastrian religion, one of the world's earliest, the supreme deity, Ormazd, created two entities: the chaotic and destructive spirit Ahriman and his beneficent twin brother, Spenta Mainyu,

However, Satan was not a prominent figure in Judaism. There are few demon-like figures in Hebrew scripture, but the most famous one appears in the Book of Job. In that book, an "adversary" or "tempter" asks God whether the prosperous man Job would continue to praise God after losing everything. God takes up the challenge, and strips Job of his wealth and family, leaving the man wondering why such a horrible fate befell him.
But in this story, God wields more power than this adversary; as such, this evil tempter challenges God, who then takes away Job's fortune, Weiss said.
[Judaism] found the notion of God having to share authority as limiting the omnipotence and even the omniscience of God," Weiss said. "And therefore, Satan was never personified as a source of evil that was equally powerful."
But Satan did become a part of certain Jewish sects beginning around the time of the Common Era, when Jesus was born, Weiss noted. Moreover, Judaism's mystical teachings, called the Kabbalah, mention a light side and a dark side, but the dark side is never given equal power to the light, Weiss
Any Sunday school student can tell you that Satan is a fallen angel, but this fall actually isn't described in the New Testament, or the Christian bible, said Jerry Walls, a professor of philosophy at Houston Baptist University and author of "Heaven, Hell and Purgatory: Rethinking the Things That Matter Most" (Brazos Press, 2015).
However, Satan suddenly appears in the gospels as the tempter of Jesus, with nary an introduction of how the evil presence got there. So, Christian theologians have come to this conclusion: If God created the universe, and everything God creates is good, then Satan must have been something good that went bad, Walls said.
"The only thing that can go bad by itself is a free being," Walls said. "Since there was evil before human beings came on the scene, the inference is [Satan] must have been a fallen angel."
There are other references to Satan in the Bible, depending on different interpretations. The Hebrew Bible has two passages about people who aren't respectful toward God. In these passages, Isaiah 14 (king of babel )and Ezekiel 28 ( king of tyre/ sur ), human rulers make outrageous boasts, and some Christians interpret these actions as expressions of Satan, Walls said. Moreover, the gospel of Paul in the New Testament refers to the snake from the Garden of Eden as Satan, though the snake isn't described that way in Genesis, Walls said. In this sense, the snake and Satan can be seen as tempters that try to get people to disobey God, but aren't always successful, Walls said.

The original Hebrew term satan is a generic noun meaning "accuser" or "adversary",[6][7] which is used throughout the Hebrew Bible to refer to ordinary human adversaries,[8][7] as well as a specific supernatural entity.[8][7] The word is derived from a verb meaning primarily "to obstruct, oppose".[9] When it is used without the definite article (simply satan), the word can refer to any accuser,[8] but when it is used with the definite article (ha-satan), it usually refers specifically to the heavenly accuser: the satan.[8]
Ha-Satan with the definite article occurs 13 times in the Masoretic Text, in two books of the Hebrew Bible: Job ch. 1–2 (10×)[10] and Zechariah 3:1–2 (3×).[11] Satan without the definite article is used in 10 instances, of which two are translated diabolos in the Septuagint and "Satan" in the King James Version

The word does not occur in the Book of Genesis, which mentions only a talking serpent and does not identify the serpent with any supernatural entity.[15] The first occurrence of the word "satan" in the Hebrew Bible in reference to a supernatural figure comes from Numbers 22:22,[7] which describes the Angel of Yahweh confronting Balaam on his donkey:[6] "Balaam's departure aroused the wrath of Elohim, and the Angel of Yahweh stood in the road as a satan against him."[7] In 2 Samuel 24, Yahweh sends the "Angel of Yahweh" to inflict a plague against Israel for three days, killing 70,000 people as punishment for David having taken a census without his approval.[16] 1 Chronicles 21:1 repeats this story,[16] but replaces the "Angel of Yahweh" with an entity referred to as "a satan".[16]

Some passages clearly refer to the satan, without using the word itself.[17] 1 Samuel 2:12 describes the sons of Eli as "sons of Belial";[18] the later usage of this word makes it clearly a synonym for "satan".[18] In 1 Samuel 16:14–23 Yahweh sends a "troubling spirit" to torment King Saul as a mechanism to ingratiate David with the king.[19] In 1 Kings 22:19–25, the prophet Micaiah describes to King Ahab a vision of Yahweh sitting on his throne surrounded by the Host of Heaven.[18] Yahweh asks the Host which of them will lead Ahab astray.[18] A "spirit", whose name is not specified, but who is analogous to the satan, volunteers to be "a Lying Spirit in the mouth of all his Prophets".[18]

Book of Job

The satan appears in the Book of Job, a poetic dialogue set within a prose framework,[20] which may have been written around the time of the Babylonian captivity.[20] In the text, Job is a righteous man favored by Yahweh.[20] Job 1:6–8 describes the "sons of God" (bənê hāʼĕlōhîm) presenting themselves before Yahweh.[20] Yahweh asks one of them, "the satan", where he has been, to which he replies that he has been roaming around the earth.[20] Yahweh asks, "Have you considered My servant Job?"[20] The satan replies by urging Yahweh to let him torture Job, promising that Job will abandon his faith at the first tribulation.[21] Yahweh consents; the satan destroys Job's servants and flocks, yet Job refuses to condemn Yahweh.[21] The first scene repeats itself, with the satan presenting himself to Yahweh alongside the other "sons of God".[22] Yahweh points out Job's continued faithfulness, to which the satan insists that more testing is necessary;[22] Yahweh once again gives him permission to test Job.[22] In the end, Job remains faithful and righteous, and it is implied that the satan is shamed in his defeat.[23]

Book of Zechariah

Zechariah 3:1–7 contains a description of a vision dated to the middle of February of 519 BC,[24] in which an angel shows Zechariah a scene of Joshua the High Priest dressed in filthy rags, representing the nation of Judah and its sins,[25] on trial with Yahweh as the judge and the satan standing as the prosecutor.[25] Yahweh rebukes the satan[25] and orders for Joshua to be given clean clothes, representing Yahweh's forgiveness of Judah's sins.[25] via wikipedia

Satan - Wikipedia

Satan is often comically portrayed as a guy in a red devil suit. He probably likes it this way, since most people (including Christians) are apt to disbelieve in his existence. As a "non-existent" force in people's lives, Satan is free to influence them without being discovered as the cause of many of their problems. However, the Bible says that Satan is a beautiful and powerful fallen angel, who would like to do nothing more than take away the joy of Christians through deception, and lead people into rebellion against God. Although Satan is destined for the Lake of Fire, biblical prophecy indicates that he will deceive entire nations and kingdoms before he is relegated to eternal damnation, along with the other fallen angels he led into rebellion against God.

The reason for this is straightforward. In biblical Hebrew, the definite article (the word “the) is a single letter (heh). Hebrew prefixes (attaches) the definite article to a noun (or participle to make it a substantive) so that, like all languages that have definite articles, the noun is made specific. Biblical Hebrew does not, however, put the definite article (the word “the”) on proper personal nouns (personal names). In this respect, Hebrew is like English. I don’t call myself “the Mike”. No one  puts the word “the” in front of their first name. Hebrew simply does not do this at all. As the well known biblical Hebrew reference grammar by Jouon-Muraoka notes: “No proper noun of person takes the article, not even when it has the form of an adjective or a participle.”1
Without exception, the word “satan” in Job occurs *with* the article. This indicates quite clearly that “satan” is *not* a personal name. It is generic, and means “the adversary”. The word can be used of human beings (1 Sam 29:4; 2 Sam 19:23; 1 Kings 5:18; 1 Kings 11:14). All of these examples have “satan” without the article, but the referent is a human being, not a divine being, so we don’t have “Satan” here either.
In terms of statistics, the noun “satan” occurs 27 times in the Hebrew Bible, ten times *without* the article.
Of these ten, seven refer to human beings and two refer to the Angel of Yahweh for sure. The lone outlier is 1 Chron 21:1. This is the famous passage where “Satan” provokes David to take a census, but in the parallel passage, 2 Sam 24:1-25, it’s Yahweh provoking David to take the census. Due to this parallel, and due to the fact that “satan” here has no article, this is viewed by some as the single instance of an evil, cosmic figure called “satan” in the OT. It actually isn’t, though. If you’re familiar with my work on the two Yahwehs in the OT, the parallel (Yahweh-satan) is striking to you. The “satan” figure here is none other than the Angel of Yahweh — and so this instance without the article is akin to the two instances in the book of Numbers where “satan” was used of the Angel. This relieves the “is Yahweh Satan?” question and any notion of contradiction — since it would mean BOTH passages have Yahweh provoking David — one appears to be the invisible Yahweh; the other is the visible Yahweh.

Consider this one fact that the article notes. It is in THIS passage that, after verse 1 mentions the “satan” provoking David, we read the Angel is there “with a sword drawn in his hand”. The Hebrew phrasing behind this occurs only three other times: Joshua 5:13 and Numbers 22:23, 31. ALL of these references are the Angel of Yahweh. and in one of them (Num. 22) he is the satan.
This would mean there are ZERO verses in the OT that have a personal name “satan”, and ZERO references to Satan as a cosmic evil entity as in the NT.

So where does this leave us?
Basically, “the satan” in Job is an officer of the divine council (sort of like a prosecutor). His job is to “run to and fro throughout the earth” to see who is and who is not obeying Yahweh. When he finds someone who isn’t and is therefore under Yahweh’s wrath, he “accuses” that person. This is what we see in Job — and it actually has a distinct New Testament flavor. (We also see it in Zechariah 3). But the point here is that this satan is not evil; he’s doing his job. Over time (specifically the idea of “being an adversary in the heavenly council” was applied intellectually to the enemy of God — the nachash (typically rendered “serpent”) in Eden, the one who asserted his own will against Yahweh’s designs. That entity eventually becomes labeled “Satan” and so the adversarial role gets personified and stuck to God’s great enemy (also called the Devil). This is a good example of how an idea in Israelite religion plays out and is applied in different ways during the progress of revelation.

Satan in Islam is not the same satan in the bible.  The Satan of Islam was a "Jinn", created from fire as all Jinns were and still are.  Angels were and still are created from light.  While Angels and Jinns are considered "Angels" in Islam, because they were created from the same material (fire is light, and light is fire), but Jinns are lower than the Angels, because Jinns are like humans; they do sin, while the Angels are perfect and Sinless.  The similarity between Angels and Jinns is like the similarity between humans and animals.  Created from almost the same material, but two different WORLDS.   We also have "human-angels" V.S. evil and bad ones.

Iblis was a Jinn who was raised and lived with the Angels.  He is a powerful Jinn, and Allah Almighty loved him so much that He treated him like an Angel, until Iblis broke Allah Almighty's Commands and turned into Satan and was expelled with disgrace from the Group of the Angels and from Paradise.
Jews and Christians assume that Satan was an Angel, even though the Bible never directly claimed that Satan was actually an Angel.  Also, the Bible never really talked about how Satan became bad and why?  At least the Bible never actually talked about Satan during Adam and Eve's times.  Aside from the brief story of Eve's temptation to eat the forbidden fruit, it began talking about Satan, in good details, during Ezra's and then latter Job's (Ayyoob in Arabic) period, 1000's of years after Adam

Jews and Christians assume that Satan was an Angel from Job 1:6.   Notice in that verse, Satan was not really identified as an Angel.  It says that GOD Almighty called upon the Angels, and that Satan came with them.  He could've been anything other than the Angels, a Jinn for instance as Islam claims, and pushed himself with the crowd of the Angels.  "
Job 1:6 does not explicitly say that Satan was an Angel. This is only a Jewish-Christian assumption.  Notice how it says "and Satan also came with them", which clearly proves that Satan does not necessarily have to be an Angel.
Also notice in Job 1:8, "Have you considered my servant Job?", which clearly shows that the earliest information the Bible has about Satan was not during Adam and Eve's times, but as I said above during Ezra's and then latter Job's times, which literally came 1000's of years after Adam and Eve.

The Christian’s God is not only incomparable to the Merciful God of Muslims, the Christian’s God is even mercy-less than the Hindu God.
Whereas the God of karma and reincarnation gives one exactly what his deeds merit: ‘an equal and opposite reaction;’ the God of inherited sin and vicarious atonement is doubly unjust: loading the sin of one man (Adam) onto the backs of all men (even onto the still-born) then shifting the sins of all men onto the head of one innocent and sinless man (Jesus).

It is very clear that Allah Almighty deceives only those whom He Wills from the disbelievers and the evil ones.  Allah Almighty does not plot against Good.  Allah Almighty only plots against the evil ones, and turns their plots on their heads.  Therefore, the Islam-haters' statement about Allah Almighty being the "Greatest of all deceivers" is false, because:
1-  Allah Almighty doesn't plot against Good.
2-  Allah Almighty only plots and deceives the evil ones.
Therefore, the anti-Islamics' false statement is a lie, and it is a plot against Islam.  Islam will, as always, prevail and be victorious in the End.  The evil disbelievers will bite the dust.

 MAKR
Has two meanings:
1. Plotting or planning evil intent.
2. Planning for a good purpose: ‘Wa Makaru wa Makara Allah wa’LLahu Khairul Makereen’ (Surah Aali Imran 3:54. They planned and Allah planned and Allah is the best of planners’.
Makara = they plotted. Makara = He planned.
Makkar = plotter.
Makereen = plotters

“Evil” and its personification (Satan /Devil /Lucifer) are concepts which developed in Christianity and Islam which are theological Dualisms: i.e. good versus evil.

Hinduism has a threefold division of nature called the guṇas:

  • Rajo guna — the force of action, aspiration, pro-activity, attachment etc.
  • Tamo guna — the force of inertia, resistance, inactivity, latent potentiality etc.
  • Sattva guna — the force of balance, harmony, integration etc.

Every aspect of the universe partakes of a combination of these three forces, which exist together with one of them being dominant at any one time.

The gods, as manifestation of these forces take on the guna that is appropriate according to time, place and circumstance.

So Brahma is embodiment of Rajas, Vishnu of Sattva and Shiva of Tamas. At certain times Vishnu becomes Rajasic - as when he kills demons, Shiva becomes Tamasic when he destroys the universe only to recreate it.

Shakti (the female personification of the Divine Energy) is sattvik as the goddess Sarasvati (white), rajasic as Durga (red) and tamasic as Kali (black).by rami sivan

In  Hinduism there is no single entity that is considered as evil unlike many other religions. The concept of rebirth and law of Karma govern the life of a person. Hence the asuras in one life can be devout folks in next birth. Thus it is all transient. The concept one eternal enemy to doesn't exist in Hinduism. Ravana, Kamsa, Duryodhana, Hiranyakashipu, Hiranyaksha, etc were all evil during that incarnation. So, there is no single evil that is forever present. And God cannot be evil.

According to Hinduism, god is worshipped in different forms but he is one.by ram yogya

In pictures some gods or godesses might look evil (maybe that’s why this question was asked) like Kali devi who is the godess of time, change, power & destruction(as Shown in picture) but they are not evil.

Aqa Mahdi Puya has said that these fake verses were shouted out by the Meccans to make it look like it was Muhammad who said it; he writes:
Some pagans and hypocrites planned secretly to recite words praising idolatry alongside the recitation of the Holy Prophet, while he was praying, in such a way that the people would think as if they were recited by him. Once when the Holy Prophet was reciting verses 19 and 20 of Najm one of the pagans recited: "Tilkal gharani-ul ula wa inna shafa-atahuma laturja"-(These are the lofty (idols), verily their intercession is sought after.) As soon as this was recited the conspirators shouted in delight to make the people believe that it was the Holy Prophet who said these words. Here, the Quran is stating the general pattern the enemies of the messengers of Allah followed when they were positively convinced that the people were paying attention to the teachings of the messengers of Allah and sincerely believing in them. They would mix their false doctrines with the original teachings so as to make the divine message a bundle of contradictions. This kind of satanic insertions are referred to in thus verse, and it is supported by Ha Mim: 26. It is sheer blasphemy to say that satanic forces can influence the messengers of Allah

(22:52) Never did We send a Messenger or a Prophet96 before you (O Muhammad), but that whenever he had a desire,97 Satan interfered with that desire.98 Allah eradicates the interference of Satan and strengthens His Signs.99 Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.100
96. For the distinction between Nabi and Rasul, refer to (E. N. 30 of Surah Maryam).
97. The Arabic word tamanna has two meanings: “desire” and “to recite” something.
98. If the first meaning is taken, it will imply: Satan tried to prevent the fulfillment of his desire. If the second meaning is taken, it will imply: When the Prophet recited the Revelations, Satan created different sorts of doubts about its truth and meanings in the minds of the people.
99. If the first meaning is adopted, it will imply: Allah fulfills the Prophet’s desire and makes his mission successful in spite of the obstacles of Satan and confirms the truth of His revelations by fulfilling His promises to the Prophet. In case of the second meaning, it will imply: Allah eradicates all the doubts and objections inspired by Satan in the hearts of the people and clarifies the confusion created about any verse of the Quran in subsequent revelations.
100. “Allah is All-Knower” and has full knowledge of the mischief worked by Satan and of its effects, and being All- Wise, He counteracts every mischief of Satan.
(22:53) (He does this) in order that He may make the evil caused by Satan a trial for those in whose hearts there is sickness (of hypocrisy), whose hearts are hard (and vitiated). Surely these wrong-doers have gone too far in their dissension.
(22:54) (He also does this) in order that those endowed with knowledge may know that it is the Truth from your Lord and that they may have faith in it and their hearts may humble themselves before Him. Verily Allah always directs those that believe to the Right Way

101. That is, Allah lets Satan work such mischief to put to the test both the righteous and the wicked people. The people with a perverted mentality deduce wrong conclusions from these and deviate from the right way, while those, who think on the right lines, realize that all these things are the mischief of Satan and that the message of the Prophet is based on the truth. They conclude that the very fact that Satan has been so much agitated and become active against it is a clear proof of its being the truth. It is very important to understand the real significance of this passage (verses 52-54) for this has given rise to a grave misunderstanding.
If we consider it in the context in which it occurs, it becomes obvious that it was sent down to refute the wrong appraisal of the casual observers that the Prophet (peace be upon him) had failed to achieve his desired object. This was because he had striven for thirteen long years to persuade his people to accept his message but the apparent result was that he had not only failed in this, but he and the small band of his followers had been forced to leave their homes. As this exile contradicted his claim that he was a Prophet of Allah and had His approval and succor with him, some people became skeptical about it. Moreover, they became doubtful about the truth of the Quran, because they were not being visited by the scourge, which was inflicted on those who treated the Prophet as false. His antagonists scoffed at him, saying: Where is that succor of Allah and the scourge with which we were threatened? The answer to these doubts of the disbelievers was given in the preceding passage, and in this passage the addressees were those who were influenced by this propaganda. Briefly the whole answer was to this effect.

It is also not a new thing that the desires and wishes of a Prophet meet with obstacles or that false propaganda is made against his message for the same has already happened with regard to the messages of the former Prophets. But ultimately Allah eradicated the mischief worked by Satan and made the message successful. Therefore you should take a warning from the past history of Satan’s mischief and its ultimate failure. You should note it well that the obstacles and the mischief of Satan are a trial and means that help attract the righteous people towards Islam and winnow the dishonest people away from it.
It is a pity that in spite of the above clear and simple meaning of the passage which fits in well with the context, a grave misunderstanding has arisen because of a tradition which has not only changed its meaning entirely and rendered it irrelevant in the context but has helped make doubtful the very basic articles of the faith. Therefore we are making a critical appraisal of the tradition in order to show how to make the right use of traditions for the correct interpretation of the Quran.

Now let us consider the story critically and rationally to prove that it is unacceptable.
(1) Its internal evidence proves it to be wrong: (a) According to the story the incident happened after the first migration to Habash, for according to it some of the migrants returned to Makkah after hearing the story. Now the fact is that the migration took place in the month of Rajab of the fifth year of Prophethood and some of the migrants returned to Makkah three months later, i.e. in Shawwal of the same year. (b) (Verses 73-75 of Surah Al- Isra) in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) was reproved for this incident were revealed in the eleventh or twelfth year of Prophethood. In other words, he was reproved by Allah five or six years after the incident. (c) This (verse 52) in which the interpolation by Satan was abrogated was sent down in the first year of Hijrah, i.e. about two years after the reproof. Can a person in his senses believe that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was reproved for the interpolation after six years, and it was abrogated after nine years?
(2) According to the story, this interpolation was made in Surah An-Najm. When the Prophet was reciting the words, “And a third (goddess) Manat”; he also recited the interpolated sentence, and then continued the recital up to the end of the Surah. It is said that the disbelievers of Makkah were so pleased with the interpolation that they declared: The differences between us and Muhammad (peace be upon him) have now come to an end.

Let us now read (verses 19-23 of An-Najm) along with the alleged interpolation (in italics): Have you ever considered about the reality of this Lat and Uzza and a third (goddess) Manat? These are exalted goddesses; indeed their intercession may be expected. What, do you have sons for yourselves and daughters for Him (Allah)? This is indeed an unfair division. They are nothing but mere names which you and your forefathers have invented. Allah has sent down no authority in regard to them. They follow only conjectures and the whims of their own minds, although right guidance has come from their Lord.
Even a casual reader will detect an obvious contradiction in the passage. Immediately after praising the goddesses there is a hard hit on their worshipers, as if to say: O foolish people! How is it that you have ascribed daughters to Allah and sons to yourselves? All this is your own invention which has no authority from Allah. On the face of it, the interpolation makes the passage absurd which cannot be assigned even to a rational person not to speak of Allah. Then the story presumes that all the Quraish who were listening to it must have lost their senses; otherwise they could not have declared that their differences with Muhammad (peace be upon him) had been made up from thence.

From this internal evidence it has become clear that this story is absurd and meaningless.
(3) Now let us consider whether the occasions, ascribed by the commentators to the revelation of the verses under discussion, fit in with the chronological order of the Quran. According to the story, the interpolation in Surah An-Najm was made in the fifth year of Prophethood. The reproof was made in (verses 73-75 of Bani Israil) and then the interpolation was annulled and the incident explained in (verses 52-54 of Surah Al-Hajj). Now there could be only two possibilities about the time of their revelation. Either the verses containing the reproof and the abrogation were sent down in the period in which the interpolation took place, or the verse containing the reproof was sent down along with Surah Al-Hajj. In the first case, the question arises: Why were these verses (Surah Bani-Israil, 73-75) not inserted in Surah An-Najm? Why were they held in abeyance for six long years and then inserted in Surah Bani Israil, when it was revealed, and (verses 52-54) (containing the abrogation) inserted in Surah Al-Hajj after a further delay of more than two years? Does it mean that the verses were sent down on one occasion and inserted years later haphazardly in one Surah or the other? In the second case, the question would arise: Does it stand to reason that the verses containing the reproof (Surah Bani-Israil, 73-75)were sent down six years after the interpolation, and the verse of abrogation (Surah Al-Hajj, Ayat 52) nine years after the incident? Still another question arises: What was the occasion of the revelation of the verses of reproof and abrogation in Surahs Surah Bani-Israil and Al-Hajj in the context in which they occur?
The Prophet (peace be upon him) recited Surah An-Najm and performed prostration at the end of it. At this, all the hearers, both the Muslims and the mushriks, fell down in prostration. This was what really happened and there is nothing strange about it. Let us depict the occasion: The Prophet (peace be upon him) was reciting a forceful piece of the eloquent Quran in a very impressive manner. Naturally the occasion produced an emotional effect and all the listeners instinctively fell down in prostration along with him. It was because of such ecstasies produced by the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) recital of the Quran as this that the disbelievers dubbed him a sorcerer. As regards the story that the Prophet (peace be upon him) praised the deities of the disbelievers, it appears that the Quraish concocted the story to hide their defeat. Probably someone or other of them explained away their defeat, saying: We ourselves heard Muhammad praising our deities. Therefore we also fell down in prostration along with him. As regards to the migrants to Habash, they returned to Makkah when they heard the concocted story that there had been a compromise between the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Quraish. It appears that some of those people who had seen the Muslims and the mushriks falling down together in prostration, presumed that peace had been made between them, so the story traveled to the migrants in Habash who had no means to verify it and thus thirty three of them returned to Makkah.
Naturally these three things, prostration by the Quraish, their explanation of it, and the return of the migrants from Habash, combined to evolve that story. So much so that some authentic people were also deluded by it, for to err is human, and the pious and intelligent people are no exception to it. However, the error of the latter proves to be more harmful, because their credulous followers accept with closed eyes their misconceptions along with their right conclusions. On the other hand, mischief mongers collect all such errors of the righteous people and exploit them to prove that all the collections of traditions are false and should be rejected forthwith.

Is The Quran The Word of Satan? According To The Biblical Jesus, THAT'S ABSURD!
By
Bassam Zawadi

The Quran makes it clear that God is the author of the Quran...

Surah 55:1-2
The Most Beneficent (Allah)! Has taught (you mankind) the Qur'an (by His Mercy).

The Quran also makes it clear that Satan is not the author of the Quran:

Surah 26:210-212
The devils did not bring it (the Quran) down. It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing.

The Quran opposes Satan as a staunch enemy...

Surah 2:168
O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and wholesome in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you.
Surah 7:200
And if a slander from the devil wound thee, then seek refuge in Allah. Lo! He is Hearer, Knower.
Surah 16:98
And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.
Surah 36:60
Did I not charge you, O ye sons of Adam, that ye worship not the devil - Lo! he is your open foe!

Now anyone who studies the Quran and knows about its scientific miracles (*), prophecies (*), falsification tests (*) etc. can do nothing but conclude that it came from a supernatural source.

Now Christian missionaries may (and some of them have) become desperate and claim that this supernatural source is Satan.

However, the Quran makes it clear that Satan is our enemy and commands believers to perform righteous deeds. But the desperate Christian missionary may reply back by saying that Satan is only disguising himself and pretending to attack himself only to deviate people from the true path. Satan is being very tricky when telling the believers to perform good deeds so that he won't expose himself. He would do anything to ensure that people won't believe that Jesus died for their sins.

However, if Jesus Christ heard this argument he would have refuted it just like how he refuted the Pharisees who accused him of casting out Satan with the power of Satan...

Mark 3:22-26
22And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, "He is possessed by Beelzebub[c]! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons."
23So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.

The story is repeated in the gospel of Matthew...

Matthew 12:24-26
24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub,[d] the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."
25Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

John Gill says in his commentary...

how can Satan cast out Satan?
or one devil cast out another? how unreasonable is it to suppose it? can it ever be thought that such, whose interest it is to unite, would ever oppose and dispossess one another? if therefore, as if he should say, I am Beelzebub, or have him, and he is in me, and I am in confederacy with him; was this the case, can any think I should ever cast him out of others, as I do?
(John Gill's Exposition of the Bible, Commentary on Mark 3:23, Source)

how shall then his kingdom stand?
he will never be able to maintain his authority, and keep up the show of a government, as he does: for these words suggest, that there is a form of government among the devils, who are united in one body, under one head; and whose unity and concord are their greatest strength, as in all other governments. Our Lord's argument, and which is his first, for others follow, is, that since Satan, who is so cunning and crafty, can never be thought to act such an opposite part to himself, subversive of his kingdom and government; and which would give so much credit to Christ, and serve so much to strengthen his interest, as to assist him in the casting out of devils; the weakness, and maliciousness of such a suggestion,
must be clear and evident to all(John Gill's Exposition of the Bible, Commentary on Matthew 12:26, Source)

John Darby says in his commentary...

Jesus demonstrates the absurdity of what they had said. Satan would not destroy his own kingdom (John Darby's Synopsis of the Bible, Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 12, Source)

In another commentary it also says...

26. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?--The argument here is irresistible. "No organized society can stand--whether kingdom, city, or household--when turned against itself; such intestine war is suicidal: But the works I do are destructive of Satan's kingdom: That I should be in league with Satan, therefore, is incredible and absurd." (Jamieson, Faussett, and Brown, Commentary on Matthew 12:26, Source)

The Christian missionary will reply back and say that the author of the Quran is Satan and is only deceiving people and making them think that he is attacking himself although he is only doing this in order to trick the people and convince them even more that Satan is not the author of the Quran while he really is and that the Quran is taking the people away from the truth of Christianity.

Well if that is the case then I can easily argue back and claim that the devils were pretending to go against themselves when they cast each other out of people's bodies. They would do this in cooperation in order to make people think that the one casting out the devils is not Satan. Using this argument, one could easily refute the Biblical Jesus' argument this way. But the Christian will remain stubborn and will demand that Satan cannot be cast out by Satan just like the Biblical Jesus said. Well then, if he believes that Satan cannot be cast out by Satan, then what does he have to say about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) casting out Satan?

Ya'laa ibn Murrah said:
I saw Allah's Messenger (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) do three things which no one before or after me saw. I went with him on a trip. On the way, we passed by a woman sitting at the roadside with a young boy. She called out, 'O Messenger of Allah, this boy is afflicted with a trial, and from him we have also been afflicted with a trial. I don't know how many times per day he is seized by fits.' He (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) said: 'Give him to me.' So she lifted him up to the Prophet.
He (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) then placed the boy between himself and the middle of the saddle, opened the boy's mouth and blew in it three times, saying, 'In the name of Allah, I am the slave of Allah, get out, enemy of Allah!' Then he gave the boy back to her and said: 'Meet us on our return at this same place and inform us how he has fared.' We then went. On our return, we found her in the same place with three sheep. When he said to her, 'How has your son fared?' She replied: 'By the One who sent you with the truth, we have not detected anything (unusual) in his behavior up to this time... (Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad, 4/170. Sheikh Shu'ayb Al Arna'ut declared this hadeeth to be authentic. This hadeeth is also reported in Al Mustadrak for Al Hakim and Imam Al Dhahabi declared it to be authentic)
It is narrated that 'Uthman ibn Abi'l-'Aas said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) appointed me as a governor of Al-Taai'if, I started to experience problems with my prayer, such that I did not know what I was doing in my prayer. When I noticed that, I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He said, 'The son of Abi'l-'Aas?' I said, 'Yes, O' Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'What brings you here?' I said, 'O' Messenger of Allah, I am experiencing problems with my prayers, so that I do not know what I am doing in my prayer.' He said, 'That is the Shaytaan. Come closer.' So I came closer to him and squatted. He tapped me on the chest three times with his hand and blew in my mouth, and said, 'Get out, enemy of Allah!' He did that three times, then he said, 'Go and get on with your work."' (Sunan Ibn Maajah, Hadith no. 3538, Source, Sheikh Albani declared this hadeeth to be authentic in Saheeh Ibn Majah, Hadith no. 2858)

The Qur'an has also been found to be effective in exorcism. Ibn Taymiyyah said:
Innumerable people have found that it is effective in warding off the devils and neutralizing their influence. It is also very effective in warding off the devils from the human soul and from the one who is possessed, and from those whom the devils help, such as those who do wrong to others, those who get angry, those who follow their whims and desires and those who perform singing and music. (Majmoo' al-Fataawa, 19/55, cited in Umar S. Al Ashqar's book The World of the Jinn and Devils, p. 206)

So we even see that in Islam we have the ability to cast out devils from people.
Now Christians are obliged to stop using this argument because this is the same argument which Jesus refuted when the Pharisees tried to use it against him and showed them how absurd such a statement was. If Christians don't stop using this argument then they are indirectly admitting that the Biblical Jesus' logic is weak and that he was wrong and that he didn't use good reasoning when he was defending himself. This argument can only lead to them "outsmarting" their own false God.
It is impossible to conclude that Quran is the word of Satan and Christianity is the religion of God. Because according to the Christian criteria, the Quran cannot be the word of Satan. We are left with the conclusion that the only supernatural source that this Quran could be coming from is indeed God Almighty.

. the Arab Christians also call God "Allah". Arab Jews also call God "Allah", Why? Because "Allah" is the Arabic word for God. The Arab Christians and Jews were using the word 'Allah' way before Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w) was even born. They think the Muslims invented the word 'Allah' but it was in use before Islam. So now this ignorant presenter has to say that those christians and jews were also worshipping the devil. .
Christian prophecies say that the Antichrist will deny Jesus(a.s) came from God. Islam does not deny this, in fact Islam says Jesus(a.s.) came from God and that he was a prophet of God. So according to Christian scriptures Islam can't be a satanic or Antichrist religion because it does not deny Jesus(a.s.) came from God.
